"We’ve been staying on the Amalfi Coast for a week now and this is the first place where we truly felt such a warm and genuine atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with exceptional care and kindness. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive and make you feel right at home, constantly making sure you are comfortable and enjoying your time. Everything is done with such attention to detail and you really feel surrounded by care the entire time. And on top of that, the food is simply amazing. The seafood is incredibly fresh and unbelievably delicious. It’s been a long time since we left a restaurant feeling this satisfied and happy. A huge thank you to the entire team for their professionalism, outstanding service and truly incredible food."

"We stopped by this seaside restaurant in Sorrento while driving the Amalfi Coast toward the Naples airport. Sorrento is one of the most beautiful spots on the coast, so you have to expect city-center prices, but the food was worth it. The fish was incredibly fresh. We had the spaghetti vongole (which was really, really good), paccheri with grouper (cernia), a shared mixed grill, and fried anchovies. We paired it all with a bottle of Falanghina and finished with coffee. It came to approximately €40 per person. All in all, I highly recommend this place, the staff is nice and helpful, and the service is quick."

"Delicious authentic italian seafood! The staff was so attentive and hardworking. They were running around to make sure everyone was comfortable and always had bread on the table!! As small as it was, they made it work well. Food was incredible, our favorite meal of our trip!"

"Great seafood restaurant with delicious lobster pasta, fresh mussels and clams, and excellent monkfish rigatoni. The restaurant was busy, which is usually a good sign. The toilets were clean, and there are lovely views if you sit inside. One thing to note is that the indoor seating can get quite smoky due to the open kitchen, but it wasn’t a problem for us."

"We stopped by this place because it looked welcoming from the outside, and we’re glad we did. It’s a great spot for seafood with a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. We had the grilled prawns and calamari, and everything was delightful."

"At the heart of sorrento and in the marina grande we found Porta marina. This is one of the best and most authentic restaurants we’ve been to in Italy. The owners are a family of fishermen. Honest hardworking people who know their business well. We had the best grilled fish and pasta. Very generous portions. Super fresh. The atmosphere was amazing and even the dessert was out of this world! We ordered the pistachio pannacotta and sealed the meal with 2 shots of limoncello .. life cannot get any better. Go there. Try this place and you won’t regret it"

"Very good dinner experience. The seafood was fresh and well prepared. I had the amberjack, my husband had the fried shrimp, and we split a salad and lemon cake for dessert—everything was delicious. Service was great, and the whole meal was enjoyable. The place was packed—barely enough room to walk, let alone spread out—which says a lot considering the restaurants on either side were nearly empty. They must be doing something right. Total bill was 64 euros, which felt like a fair price for the quality and amount of food."

"What an unforgettable experience at Porta Marina Seafood Fishermen’s Restaurant in Sorrento. From the moment we walked up, we were welcomed like family. The restaurant was completely packed, yet one of the owners came outside, greeted us warmly, and found a way to make us feel at home. That spirit of hospitality continued throughout the entire evening. What makes this place so special is not just the food, but the people. We were served by multiple generations of the same family, siblings, children, and relatives working together with genuine warmth, pride, and joy. You can feel the love and tradition in every interaction. And then there is the food. Absolutely incredible. Every dish tasted as though it had come straight from the sea that morning. The catch of the day was perfectly prepared, fresh, and flavorful. The monkfish pasta was rich and memorable. The grilled seafood was outstanding, showcasing the quality of each ingredient without unnecessary fuss. The spaghetti with clams and mussels was everything you hope for when dining on the coast of Italy: simple, elegant, and bursting with flavor. We somehow saved room for dessert, and I'm glad we did. The tiramisu was exceptional, the cheesecake was light and delicious, and the lemon cake was simply ridiculous, in the very best way possible. Bright, fresh, and unforgettable. In a town filled with wonderful restaurants, Porta Marina stands apart because it offers something increasingly rare: extraordinary food served by extraordinary people. If you're visiting Sorrento, do yourself a favor and go for dinner. The wait is worth it. Come hungry, stay awhile, and enjoy one of those meals that you'll still be talking about long after your trip is over. Grazie to the entire family for such a memorable evening. We can't wait to return."
